HuntGo for eBay — Privacy Policy
HuntGo for eBay runs inside your browser. Pycode Ltd runs one small service for it — the licence service described below — and receives nothing else. This page explains what the extension reads, where it sends it, and what it stores.
What the extension reads
- On pages you open on amazon.co.uk, aliexpress.com and ebay.co.uk, and on pages it opens for you in background tabs during a hunt or validation run you started or scheduled: product listing data — titles, prices, sold or order counts, ratings, images and, on eBay search results, seller usernames and feedback counts.
- On your own eBay Seller Hub Product Research (Terapeak) page: the results figures (sell-through, sold counts, sellers, prices).
- If you turn on "Show the HuntGo panel on my pipeline sheet" in Settings, the extension also runs on your own pipeline Google Sheet, where it only draws its control panel; it reads no cell content and does not run on any other spreadsheet.
- It does not read cookies, passwords, payment details, messages or any page outside those sites. It relies on the sites' existing logins in your browser and never signs in for you.
Where data goes
- Your Google Sheet. When you press Send or Add, or start a run, the products and the verdicts the extension computes are posted to a Google Apps Script web app that you deploy on your Google Sheet, at the URL you paste into Settings. There is no built-in destination. The web app refuses every request that does not carry the pipeline token your sheet mints for you (Settings tab,
api_token), so the URL alone gives no access. - AI providers, only if you add your own key. If you enter a Google Gemini or Anthropic API key in Settings, product titles and your recent accepted keywords are sent to that provider to choose search keywords, and, when finding suppliers, the source listing image and up to eight candidate supplier images are sent to Gemini for matching. This happens under your own account with that provider.
- Licence check. If you enter a HuntGo licence key, the key and a random install identifier are sent to our licence service (a Google Apps Script run by Pycode Ltd), which confirms the subscription with Gumroad, our payment provider, and returns a signed entitlement. Free-trial usage counts and, on paid plans, daily usage counts are recorded against that install identifier so the limits apply per install. No product data, browsing data or personal details are sent. Payment itself happens on Gumroad's site under its own privacy policy; the extension never sees your card details.
- Email. If you set an alert address on your sheet's Settings tab, winner alerts and the weekly summary are sent from your own Google account to that address by your own Apps Script.
What is stored on your device
Settings, screening criteria, keyword history, daily usage counters, the free-plan counters, your licence status, and (if entered) your API keys and pipeline token are stored in Chrome's extension storage on your device. The free-plan counters, your licence status and the random install identifier are also kept in Chrome's synced extension storage, which follows your own Chrome profile and is not readable by Pycode Ltd. Nothing here is sent to Pycode Ltd except as described under Licence check. Removing the extension deletes the local copy; your sheet stays with you.
What the extension does not do
- No analytics, tracking or advertising identifiers.
- No selling, sharing or transfer of data to third parties beyond the services you configure above.
- No captcha solving. If a marketplace shows a captcha, the run pauses and asks you to handle it.
- No creating, editing or publishing of eBay listings.
Limited use
Data obtained through the extension is used only to provide the product research features you see in the extension and is not used for any other purpose, in line with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
- Change or remove the pipeline URL, token and API keys at any time in Settings.
- Turn the scheduled morning hunt off in Settings (it is off by default).
- Uninstall the extension to delete everything it stored in Chrome.
